Valor Mortis will be presented to the Polish audience during PGA!
One More Level invites players to participate in the Poznań Game Arena fair, during which they will have the opportunity to play Valor Mortis, a first-person soulslike set in an alternative history of the Napoleonic Wars, as well as meet representatives of the studio.
Presented at gamescom, Valor Mortis is a new brand from One More Level, the creators of the Ghostrunner series. The industry website gamediscover.co recognized the upcoming soulslike as one of the biggest announcements of the event in Cologne, and both players and the press enthusiastically received the demo shown there. Open playtests are available on Steam until October 13, accessible to anyone interested. If Polish gamers did not have the opportunity to check out the title during the playtests, they can catch up in Poznań during PGA!
Starting Friday morning, eight stations will be waiting for all soulslike fans who want to check out the Krakow studio's new take on the popular genre.
About Valor Mortis
Valor Mortis is a first-person soulslike with a single-player campaign, in which the developers combine combat elements and dynamics characteristic of the studio's games with a dark, atmospheric narrative. Players take on the role of a soldier in the French army in an alternative version of 19th-century Europe ruled by Napoleon Bonaparte. During the French emperor's march eastward, an unexplained phenomenon halted the Great Army's advance. In addition to the horror of war, players will encounter monstrosities and supernatural phenomena that they will have to face in combat.
It is a brutal, demanding story in which the gameplay is based on a balance between fencing, the use of firearms, and the use of superhuman abilities. Players develop their skills by exploring battlefields littered with corpses, hidden passages and secrets, mysterious towns, and thrilling boss battles. New abilities will be useful for unlocking new paths and possibilities in previously visited locations.
Valor Mortis will be released in 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.
