Medway, a Poznań-based studio with over a decade of experience in developing games and applications for the public sector, is now setting its sights on a wider audience. They're making their Steam debut with their first game, Just a Die, which you can experience at this year's Poznań Game Arena. So, what can we expect from it?
Just a Die
We’re dying (😉) to experience this truly exciting release. Just a Die is an isometric action roguelike where players become the titular die, navigating a seemingly simple yet perilous board game world. The game is a tribute to genre-defining titles like The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Hades, and Enter the Gungeon. As the developers put it, “out of love for these classics, we’re creating a game we’d want to play for hours!”
Despite the name, Just a Die is more than just a die. 😉 Expect an engaging combat system, a diverse array of weapons, and passive effects that allow for creative attack combinations. Procedurally generated levels culminate in boss battles, but it’s up to you whether to face the boss immediately or explore the level further in search of new weapons.
